High Grades in my high school ( 2nd out of 148 )
ill take SAT II after 3 days
tell me plz my chances at these colleges

Caltech - NO WAY
Carnegie Mellon - NO WAY
EMORY - NO WAY
Purdue - a glimmer of hope
UMich - Ann Arbor - NO WAY

I suggest you retake the TOEFL or the SATs. Colleges want good verbal scores (above 600 for internationals) because you will be doing a lot of reading in your classes.

MO, forget about CalTech. Ain't gonna happen. They expect close to 750 on both sections of the SAT to even consider an applicant.

Michigan and Carnegie Mellon are possibilities...if you can raise your SAT verbal score to 550. A 600 would be even better. Your Math score is fine.

Purdue is a reach as it stands, but if you can raise your SAT verbal to 500, Purdue is pretty much in the bag for you.

Purdue will waive the SAT I for you if you send in your TOEFL scores (You'll have to increase it quite abit).

Check the international students admission page at Purdue.edu

BTW, Minnesota has the 4th best Mechanical Engineering program, and they only require toefl for international students. I suggest you apply there as well. Same for Penn State - University park.

Do not send your SAT I scores, sending the SAT II scores might be of help though.

i dont think that anyone on this site can know what your chances. if you live in saudi arabia, or just moved here, then i think your 330 is great. if you can get it up a little more that would be even better, but all those schools that you're applying to will take into account that english is not your first language. good luck!!
