what r my chances at Caltech?
other schools, r MIT, purdue, michigan, uiuc

reply people please... im desperate

come on people. not a single reply until now!!!!!!!!!!!

Depeneding on whether you need financial aid or not (browse around the other international threads for information about this) I'd say the chances are 50/50 if not, and not good (10%? less?) otherwise. Just from a cursory glance.

Baghdady,
You're certainly a smart guy, so there's no doubt in my mind you can end up just about anywhere you want. With that in mind, choose ANY school besides Caltech. I'm here as a freshman, and believe me, it is NOT worth your consideration. Period. I chose this school for the generous financial aid, and it simply wasn't worth it. I'd rather have gone to some of the other schools I was accepted to and been poor, rather than being unhappy here and getting to sit on my college fund. Anyway, that's my $0.02 USD.

I'm a sophomore at Caltech. I'm having the time of my life -- academically exhilirated, socially happy, and bathed in opportunities to do whatever I want, which I couldn't have gotten elsewhere. You'll have plenty of time decide whether to come if you get in. For now, ignore the (predominantly) losers who want nothing more than to complain how unsatisfactory their lives are.

Come to prefrosh, decide for yourself.
