<p>I just decided to apply to the College of Arts and Science; kind of last minute, I know. I'd appreciate any comments. </p>

<p>white female from NJ, I go to a competitive all-girls school
SAT I: 1400 (740 V, 660 M)
SAT II's: 750 Writing, 680 Literature, 620 Math IC
GPA: 3.66 (unweighted)
ECs:
School Newspaper (staff member 10th grade, assistant arts editor 11th, editor-in-chief 12th)
School yearbook (business editor 11th, staff editor 12th)
Writer's Roundtable (creative writing group, 9th, 10th, 11th, not offered this year)
Volunteer at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (ushering, concessions and such, 9th,10th,11th,12th)
JV Tennis (9th, 10th, 11th)
Ceramics (10th, 11th, sold pieces at local pottery shows)
Usher at school plays and concerts (10th, 11th, 12th)
Staff writer on school's French newsletter (12th)</p>

<p>Also, I got a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program, and was inducted into Foreign Language Honors Society last year.

<p>I'd give you a decent shot. Though being from NJ will hurt you, your test scores and grades are okay, and you have some nice ECs. Overall, you're a competitive candidate.</p>
