Chances at Chemical engineering UT Austin, TexasAM , University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, Purdue

Hey, I am a senior in high school this year and I am applying to UT Austin, Texas A&M , University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, Purdue, Wisconsin Madison, UCLA and UCSD. I was hoping to know what my chances were of getting into these colleges for chemical engineering. And I am an international student from Canada, and my ethnicity is South Asian. If possible, could you list some colleges that I can make my safeties as well.

I am at a really competitive high school and I took all of the hardest classes that my school offers. My un-weighted GPA is a 3.91 and weighted is around a 95. I have taken AP world history, AP US history and Human Geography, AP comp sci, physics 1, env science and psychology this year. And I am taking AP calc bc, AP lang, AP gov, AP macro econ, and chem this year.

I took the SAT twice first time getting a 1930 (700 math, 600 CR, 630 Writing) and 2040 the second time (740 maths, 650 reading, 650 writing). My ACT Scores weren’t that great, I just managed a 30 but 34 on Math. My class ranking isn’t that great (14%) because I moved my junior year and my AP classes from my old school weren’t weighed. And also I go to a really competitive public school.

ECs:
-Vice president of Video game design
-Varsity Policy Debate
-Science Olympiad
-Robotics
-Academic Team
-Computer and programming Club
-Tutor
-NHS

i have a friend in chemical engineering at UT (she was in state); her stats were very similar to yours but with less ECs and higher test scores. however, being international will make it harder for you, so it might help to try to bring up your composite test scores. your chances are better at A&M but it’s still going to be reachy. purdue should be easier to get into since they’re more open to out of state kids than UT and A&M. your high math scores on ACT and SAT will help.
not sure about the others. best of luck!

You qualify for automatic academic admit at TAMU. To get into engineering you should apply ASAP.

bump

you arent auto admit if you dont live in texas
either way, its good to apply early

Im definitely going to apply by mid October, but will i have a decent chance of getting into ut or tamu with my stats?
