<p>Patents and Research:</p>

<p>Invented a garbage receptacle that houses both recycling and trash and seperates the two by means of a foot pedal in the fourth grade. Recieved U.S. Patent in 2001 on the invention.</p>

<p>Recieved $300 minigrant from the Board of Education to develop a new type of electric Motor (2003.) Patent pending. (I wrote the patent application myself, if that counts for anything.)</p>

<p>Currently working on a new idea that will make heating systems more efficient. Patent Disclosure form filed.</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:</p>

<p>Researcher for the New School University in NY. Research on Project Pericles, an intercollegiate program for civic engagement and community awareness, and methods that the New School could use to implement the objectives of this program. Presented my findings to several New School administrators, including ex-U.S. senator Bob Kerry.</p>

<p>what killed me was that they checked 1st quarter grades and i had one C. (my guidance counselor stated that I was sick in my midyear)</p>

<p>dude u r in at CMU for sure and i would say u have a very good chance for MIT because of you EC's....especially your patents....dun worry about your GPA too much....u are a very strong applicant!!</p>
