chances at CMU ENG?

<p>okay here is my stats - they arent 4.0 1600 blah blah blah...but yea</p>

<p>GPA after senior midyear reports 3.51 w i was ranked 80th but i think i might jump to about 70ish or 60 ish so we will go with about a 69 rank just for the fun of it</p>

<p>SAT - 720 - math 590 - english</p>

<p>SAT II (just took them hoping for worst case seniorio of a 650 math IIC 600 - physics 600 -english)</p>

<p>Classes - junior year - AP calc ab AP Us History AP Stats, AP Chem, Senior year - AP calc BC, Ap Physics, AP Gov. inaddition to these classes taken Honors and one of the hardest course loads through my senior class if not the hardest. computer math - took that in soph year</p>

<p>EXTRA's - Cap of debate for 1 year in debate for 4 years; sec/treasurer - its academic team(4 years) sec/treasurer - signet(4 years); SCA(1); Key Club(2); Guitar for about 7 years; used to play soccer but not for the school (had surgery); DECA( 1 year); Freshman class council; worked at Circuit City for 2 years</p>

<p>well u probably guessed it i want to go into eng. probably chemical/biomed</p>

<p>you arent a bad canidate. your rank & verbal are rather low tho, especially for CIT. but you have strong EC and your classes are hard so they might like that. I would say CIT might be a slight reach and when i say slight i mean very slight...so i guess basically a match for you. Your SAT II wont get you any college credit i dont think. and the fact that you are indian does hurt a little. but all in all, i'd say you have a chance</p>
