Chances at CMU, Northwestern, etc...

Yep all the apps are finally in, but the wait till March is killing me - just wanna know if i should get my hopes up...

GPA: 3.45uw (horrible i know...has a slight upward trend around junior yr)
SATI: 700m 660v -- 1360
SATII: 720writing 790iic 700physics
ECs: track 10 & 11, excel club, warehouse worker for 4 years, tutored,etc...
Essays: well-written, but generic for the most part. I wrote about my experience at an engineering summer camp at WPI.

So what are my chances at the following collegs?: gatech, northwestern, carnegie mellon university, ut-austin, cornell

i know most of these are reaches, but how much of a chance do i have? 10%? 40%?

anyways, thanks in advance.

gatech-MATCH
northwestern-MATCH
ut-austin-SLIGHT REACH(b/c of GPA)
cornell-REACH
carnegie mellon- depends to which program you're applying, i was accepted to ECE, which is more competitive than others, so if ECE or SCS-REACH, otherwise-MATCH

"northwestern-MATCH" I disagree, I've seen applicants with much higer scores rejected, this is a very difficult school. Where do you rank? Is your school very competitive? CMU is probably a slight reach. Which school at cornell are you applying to and what major? Can't tell you without that. GA tech is a solid match.

yup fish is probably right

on your list, cornell would be the 'reach'-est school.

Gatech accept more than 70% of applications with average SAT score a little lower than yours. i think it can be slightly safety-match for ya(esp. if you wrote a good essay and showed an interest).
