Chances at CMU SCS ED?

Hello everyone! I'm a junior in northern VA at TJ (<a href="http://tjhsst.edu/">http://tjhsst.edu/</a>) and I'm wondering if anyone can chance me for CMU SCS going ED. Here are my stats:

Cumulative GPA (W): 4.22
UW: 3.64 (rough estimate)

SAT: 2230 (R:710/M:720/W:800) (retaking in October to go above 2300)
SAT IIs: Math II: 800, Physics: 710, Spanish (no listening): 720

APs:
Computer Science: 5
BC Calculus: 5 + AB subscore of 5
Spanish Language: 5

Spanish III

11th grade:
Artificial Intelligence I & II (post-AP)
Parallel Computing I & II (post-AP)
AP Physics C
AP Spanish Language & Culture
AP Calculus BC

I'm planning to take Computer Systems Research, Computational Physics, Cryptography, and Multivariable Calc+Concrete Math next year.

ECs:

Technology Student Association (TSA) (competitions in STEM; awards in the Awards section) (7th grade--present)

Freshman, Intermediate, & Senior Computer Team (programming club) (9th, 10th, 11th grade, respectively)

Spanish Honor Society (10th grade-present)
--Webmaster for upcoming year
--Tutor during 11th grade to freshman

BigSibs (program for upperclassmen to help freshman integrate into the school culture) (upcoming year)

Indian Language Association (teaching Hindi/Telugu to members) (9th grade--10th grade)

I've participated in Physics Team and Linguistics Club, but I don't think I'm dedicated enough to put them on my college apps.

Weekly volunteering at Indian mission school + fundraising with all of the above clubs. I also volunteer at my local library.

Summer Programs:

NASA's Virginia Space Coast Scholars online academy + summer academy (10th grade), which is an aerospace engineering course that selects 40 students in VA out of upwards 200 applicants.

NASA's Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars online academy (was offered to go for the summer academy but I declined to pursue an internship) (11th grade) which is like the one above except more selective and for juniors only. Plus I got college credit in mechanical engineering for taking the course.

Paid internship at the Naval Research Lab in D.C. in High Assurance Computer Systems (programming, high level logic, etc.) (happening right now)

Awards:

TSA:
System Control Technology (SCT) is a robotics simulation competition
Electronic Gaming (EG) is a video game design competition
Website Design (WD) is a web design competition
Video Game Design (VGD) is EG at the high school level
Webmaster is WD at the high school level
Open Source Software Development (OSSD) is a software engineering competition

--5th place SCT in regionals
--8th place VGD in regionals

3x gold medal in National Spanish Exam Levels 2, 3, and 4 (9th, 10th, & 11th grade) (99th, 98th, 97th percentile)

Misc*:
Race: Indian
Gender: Male
Combined Income: >$200K

I'm planning to do an interview with my cousin's friend who did their M.S. at CMU in information systems (which is also an alternative for me if I don't apply to SCS).

I'm also applying to Cornell, CalTech, UCB, UIUC, UT Austin, Georgia Tech, UVA, and UWash for CS, so I'd appreciate it if anyone could chance me at those schools (particularly the first 3) as well.

Forgot to add, this year my team and I also got 5th place in OSSD at nationals and 6th place in Webmaster at nationals.

It’s definitely a reach. Not because you’re not accomplished, but because

 1. it’s competitive as heck
 2. not to be rude, but you’re asian and male applying into SCS.

I totally understand. Thanks!

No offense, but I knew you were Asian and male before I even scrolled down.

bump
