Chances at Colgate? Please!

So I just finished applying to colleges and right now, my dream school is Colgate. I'm not exactly sure where I come in the spectrum of "average" students at Colgate, or how that affects my chances to get in =/ so I came here to see my fate lol :P

Not sure about the format of these kinds of threads, so I'll just post my stats :O

Stats

UW GPA = 3.7
W GPA = 4.0
ACT = 30
SAT 2 - Math 1 = 730

SAT 2 - Biology = 670

EC's

1)Community Service = 2 years volunteering at a hospital + 2 summers reading to disabled children at the local library - awarded basic certification achievement/participation/community service
2) Science Research = 5 years of researching, experimenting, and going in regional competitions and science fairs - Awarded certificate of achievement/outstanding effort + Green ribbon of excellence (top 10)
3)Science Olympiads = 5 years of scientific competitions (robotics/astronomy/Botany) - Awarded 4th place and 9th place.
4) Mathletes = 5 years of mathematic competitions - awarded 3rd place in district
5) Officers and other positions in several clubs (Spanish Club, FBLA, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Key Club)

6) Honor Roll + AP Scholar Award + National Senior Honor Society.

Classes Taken:

AP World History - 4
AP Biology - 5
AP US History - 4
AP Language and Composition - 3
AP Calc - X (senior year)
AP Literature - X (senior year)
AP Psychology - X (senior year)
AP Government - X (senior year)
All other classes are honors/advanced - Physics/Earth Science/Algebra/Geometry/Trig/Pre-Calc/English/Social Studies etc.
Couple business electives here and there O_O

I also have been in Band for all 5 years of high school; have gone to parades in D.C and NYC.

Random

My essays are pretty good (or so I'd like to think), so I'm not really worried about those :O
My grades for the senior year are all 90+, only one under a 90 so far is AP Calc because it terrifies every nerve in my body :(

I want to major in Biology btw, if that changes anything

But that's my speech haha, sorry for the massive amount of text =/
I just posted this thread out of anxiety and nervousness because one of my classmates with almost the same stats as mine got deferred on ED, and so I've been afraid lately :(

bumpedy bumpedy :O

Are you applying for any financial aid. I heard Colgate isn’t need blind. With financial aid, I would say high match / low reach, without a match or a high match.

Colgate is a low reach, there is nothing wrong with your application, just some of your numbers are a little low and you are lacking leadership. Strong essays should help…

Holy Cross-very similar to Colgate- is need blind for admissions and HC has January 15th application due date.

Sigh, I guess I should put my hopes down then, I thought i had a decent chance to get in =/
Thanks for the information guys <3 If anyone else has any advice/suggestions, go for it, please!

Also, if you could, what are my chances at

 1. Northeastern (2nd option)
 2. NYU (3rd)
 3. BC (4th)
 4. Fordham

A school’s being need-blind or need-aware should be irrelevant to applicants; it does’t affect the school’s quality or desirability; it affects only the chance of admission, and that only for those on the cusp.

You need a heck of an essay to have a good shot. Otherwise, it’s a fair chance. A few low scores here and there. ECs are good, but there’s a lack of leadership positions. Go for it.

Good luck!

If you can afford NYU you can afford any of the other four.

Colgate: High match
NYU: Match
NEU: Low match
BC: High match
Fordham: Safety

Thanks for the answers guys <3 Lots of help, and hopefully I get in =/
What’s the thing with need-aware schools though? Like if you need financial aid it would ruin your chances, because LOL i’m gonna need it =/
