Chances at Columbia, NYU, U Penn???

I've only just finished my freshman year (I'll be the class of 2016) and I really want to go to Columbia for econ and go into the business management special concentration, NYU for a double major in marketing/global business and journalism, and U Penn's undergraduate program at Wharton.

-Ethnicity: Burmese/Chinese (Burmese is a southeast Asian minority, so would that help my chances?)
-Money: low-income
-SAT'S: 1980 -- CR640 M650 W690
-GPA: 4.3 weighted (school doesn't do unweighted or rank)
-Extra currics: High School Senate (fresh), Freshman class Secretary, High School Senate (soph), Sophomore class secretary, school acapella group, winter track (I was out this season due to knee injuries but I'll be back, and I'm pretty much guaranteed varsity junior year if I don't get it this year), concert band/marching band (I play bassoon and mallet percussion), DECA, Student Ambassador's club, band librarian (stupid name, but it's a leadership position!), German Club
-Work experience: Intern with the Daily Front Row at Mercedes Benz Fashion week in February, (I'd don't really know if this even counts, but) fashion blogger on personal site (poshandcircumstance.com) with over 1,000 followers to date.

My volunteer work I only have about 50 hours of volunteer work so far (and it's kind of scattered, not really with one single person/program yet), but I'm starting to look for more opportunities to change that. Even though I'll only be a sophomore I'll be taking all honors and an AP class (AP US History).

I really want to go to Columbia and NYU because I have a major interest in fashion and the interning opps in NYC are endless, but U Penn is also fantastic. PLEASE HELP! If there's anything you think I should be doing, let me know!!! Also, if you could recommend any schools you think might be a fit, that'd be great too!

There’s not enough info yet to chance you; you’ve only just completed your freshman year. But, you are on the right track. Keep it up, and NYU won’t be an issue. But, the other two are tricky.

alright, thank you so much! I’m hoping I can really kick it into gear next year to make my chances even greater!

Get your SAT up, develop a passion in your ECs, and volunteer more like you said.
