Are any of these schools possibilities for me? Any help would be great. I have a few that i know i will apply to but i want a couple "reach" schools to apply to. I will be applying as a junior

HS GPA: 3.5 UW
SAT: 1920

College GPA: 3.92
Honors Program
Published a paper Freshman Year

3 major Internships while in college

Started a non-profit organization

good essays, and recommendations

Chances at:
Columbia
UPenn
Duke
Brown
Dartmouth
Amherst
Williams College

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

The school you currently attend is a huge factor, so without that it's hard to chance you.

sorry, I attend George Mason University

whats your V+M breakdown

V+M breakdown?

If I'm not mistaken, Casey2889 means your verbal score and your math score on your SAT.

Your collge GPA will help but transferring into those schools is very difficult...it's really impossible, however, for anyone to tell you definitively that you WONT get accepted.. I would apply and see what happens, certainly there isn't anything in your record that screams "NO CHANCE".

I would advise applying to Northwestern, UNC, WashU, Rice, and Emory. These schools tend to be much more transfer friendly.

Yeah, all the initial schools you mentioned are extreme reaches. I would not be surprised if you came on here and said you got rejected to all of them. I have seen it happen in other threads.

Verbal 660 Math is 650

I know they're all reaches, but i already have a few schools that I am sure I will get in. I just wanted to know what are some reach schools that are no impossible to get in. Anyone have any ideas on liberal arts schools like Amherst College?

Thanks for all your input.

did you go to tj?

SATs will work against you, but only negligibly. Apply to a safety or two if you're really against finishing at GMU, but otherwise your list is pretty solid (i.e. nothing out of your reach).
