I would really appreciate some more chances. Thanks in advance!

You have excellent test scores and an excellent GPA, but I think you are lacking in ECs and volunteer work. You should definitely put yourself out there and volunteer in the community or your school because all colleges, especially these competitive ones love to see that. With that said, I would say that Wash U, Rice, Duke, Williams, and Northwestern you should be fine with, and that the ivies and the others are very difficult for anyone in the nation, and you may borderline on all these.

You have a very impressive resume with some stellar academic achievements. However, my personal experience tells me that top universities do not look for exceptional students; they look for exceptional, well-rounded people. You tick the box with many of what I feel are “prerequisites” to getting into these universities: GPA, AP scores, SAT, awards, and extracurricular activities. But I think that you are missing achievements that show off your soft skills, namely leadership and compassion. As Jkotek suggested, putting in some community service (especially at a local animal shelter or other nonprofit organization) will really add another dimension to your application.

Well, seeing as I get my decisions in a couple weeks, it might be a bit late for that. I haven’t exactly had a lot of time to do volunteer work because of all of my other activities. Will a lack of volunteer work really hurt my chances?

Duke- high match
Harvard,Princeton,Yale- As good a chance as any
Dartmouth- low reach
Brown- match
Upenn- high match
Amherst- low match
Northwestern- low match
Rice- safety?
Williams- match

Great test scores, above average grades, EC’s are OK (more leadership woulve been nice)
But then again… 2380… Nice job

Chance back

Thanks for the feedback guys…does anyone else have any?(bump)

Probably an accept for all besides HYP.

HYP are unpredictable so who knows…
Northwestern, Brown, Amherst, Rice - accept
not too sure about the others but you have a great chance at all! congrats on washu

chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1616663-please-chance-me-i-ll-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

Harvard-reach
Princeton-low reach
Yale-low reach
Dartmouth-waitlist
Brown-match
Upenn-match
Amherst-accept
Northwestern-accept
Rice-accept
Williams-accept

You are really just too vague on the research portions. If you are a Siemens/Intel winner, you definitely say it out. There are varying degrees of prestige in national science conferences still.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1622944-chances-uchicago-stanford-columbia-northwestern-carnegie-mellon-mit-etc-p1.html</a></p>

Duke- Accept
Harvard/Princeton/Yale- In at 1 of them
Dartmouth- Accept
Brown- Reject
Upenn- Accept
Amherst- Accept
Northwestern- Accept
Rice- Accept
Williams- Accept

Congrats on that SAT score, that’s phenomenal.

@bodangles, it’s a superscore between one test on which I scored a 2200(800CR, 680M, 720W) and another testing when I scored a 2360(800M, 780W, 780CR).

2360’s still amazing, in my book :P

Thanks. Does anybody else want to share an opinion?

Sorry for rebumping…I’m just getting more and more nervous and would love some more opinions. Thanks!
