Columbia

Thank you so much for your help!

oh and should i retake the sat’s one more time?

Your test scores and GPA look pretty good. Being an international student could work against you depending on where you are from and how much aid you need. In my unexpert opinion, getting in will depend on how well you set yourself apart from everyone else applying. What have you done that has made you special? You have to make them believe that you are amazing enough and special enough to be willing to pay for you to go. If you can do that, you can probably get in.

thank you for your input, JNT. i need to work really hard on my essays.
Anyone else?

Stanford (SCEA)-Yeah, you might get in. Asian really works against you.
Princeton-Forget about it. Prolly not worth sending in the app. fee. Your good, except for one thing, your asian… Makes the pool that much harder exponentially.
University of Texas at Austin-Match
NYU-Match
Columbia-Slight Reach, again, because your asian, it ruins chances ALOT at tier 1 schools and ivy.

i really liked princeton though. i visited the campus two summers back and i loved the school and the environment there. but like you said, i know its going to be REALLY hard to get into.
