Chances at Cornell ED, CMU, Michigan, ...

I am a senior and I wanted to know if you guys think I'll get in where I am applying. I am a white female and I plan on majoring in electrical . I am applying to Cornell ED I and Carnegie Mellon EDII. Consider that 54% of females that apply to Cornell engineering are accepted, and even more ED.

SAT: 2110 (M:790, V:640, W: 680) (took again last Saturday, hoping it went up), but...

ECs:
FIRST robotics- vice president, in charge of finances

I fix computers at my school during lunch- currently have over 300 hrs community service as a result
summer job at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) where I program and analyze robots for search and rescue missions
Currently conducting research at GWU on magnetic refrigeration, only 2 hrs/week though

Chances at:
ED I: Cornell
EDII:Carnegie Mellon University
Tufts University
Northwestern University
University of Michigan
Lehigh
Case Western Reserve
University of Rochester
Penn State University Park (applying to Schreyer Honors Program as well)
University of Illinois

you have a good chance at all of those... cornell ED engineering most likely in

thanks stonecold! i hope you're right!

anyone else?

Cornell ED: 50%, rest you're in.

i think you'll definitely get in all of them except cornell and northwestern, in which you have about 40-50% chance... and thats a good percentage cuz theyre tough schools! Good luck though

Can you do ED at cornell and also ED II at cmu? is that allowed? you can only do one ED right?

I say you have a pretty good shot at them all, your ec's are nice and very focused towards technology and engineering. So good luck!

chocolateluvr,

just wanted to say, chances aside, that's a really good, well researched list of schools. Although some of course are a lot harder than others to get in, all are top notch for science/engineering and you'd get a great technical education at any one of them.

I think chances are better than 50-50 for Cornell ED.

Looks good to me.

40% cornell

i go to cornell...if the acceptance rate for females is 54 percent, ur chances are 54 percent, good luck, have a nice day
