<p>Whoa...those stats are more than competitive for Cornell. Even MIT will think twice before turning you down. Your GPA is good enough(not the greatest), but I think your SAT score makes up for that. I am a little surprised you went ED to Cornell as you would've been competitive at any of those schools. I would be very surprised if Cornell turned you down.</p>

<p>I just got ex-senator bob kerry to send a reccommendation and the admissions office sent a thank you letter to him. Will this help a lot having someone politically powerful send a rec that is really good? Or just marginally.</p>
