Long Island Mom here- my d is in ILR. Which Program at Cornell are you applying to?? Cornell likes to see that there is a good match between student and Program- so what's your academic passion ???

interested in business and maybe applying to AEM ??
interest in Hotel/hospitality and applying to Hotel School ??
want to be an architect??
or study liberal arts in CAS ??

If your application comes across that you are applying to Cornell as you think it's your best chance to get into an Ivy, I do not think you'll have a great shot at Cornell.

If you familiarize yourself with the Cornell programs, and can show why it is a a good match for you and show your passion and educational interest in that field of study, you have a shot.

I think you can apply to 2 programs this year. In the past, you could only apply to one college at Cornell.
Good luck
