Chances at Cornell ED

<p>What are my chances of getting into Engineering at Cornell ED?</p>

Income bracket: 100k</p>

<p>Stats:
2230 SAT(720 CR, 800M, 710W)
SATII: 800Math II, 750 Math I, 730 US History, just took physics and scores not out yet
GPA: 3.8 UW(out of 4), 5.01 W(out of 5)
Rank: 13/600
AP: Computer Science 5 World History 5 Euro 5 US History 5 English 5
Senior year classes:
AP: bio, chem, physics c, calc bc, gov, econ, english (hardest available)</p>

<p>ECs:
Marching/Concert Band 3 years,(only doing marching band this year), trumpet
Piano lessons for 7 years.
Other instruments: clarinet, 3 years and percussion, 1 year
I play piano during youth fellowships at my church.
Won various music awards for trumpet and piano(nothing above the region level)
Band is one of the best in the state.</p>

<p>participated in state academic competition for computer science, current events, and math. mostly county level awards, best one is 4rd place region.</p>

<p>Landscaping business, with 7 regular customers so far. Busy mostly in summer and spring.</p>

<p>200 hours volunteer work at a local food bank
about 40 hours of volunteer work for VBS at church</p>

<p>Internship at my uncle's company (clothing factory) in china this summer; helped translate for his international customers. Also learned how all of our clothing is made.</p>

<p>So, what do you think my chances are ED at Cornell? I think that my SATs, GPS, and rank are pretty good, but I don't have any good ECs and am a ORM. No major awards, and no leadership either. However, I do have quite a few ECs and they all take quite a bit of time...</p>

<p>You have very good stats. I’d say slight reach because of lack of special EC’s. You have a strong competitive shot though. Even if you don’t get in I’m sure you’ll have plenty of colleges to choose from with the stats you have. Congrats</p>
