No offense, flopsy, but that's a very optimistic, and somewhat unrealistic, prediction.

If the OP is a CA resident, I agree with flopsy's predictions (considering the number of UCs the OP applied to, I'd say she (he?) is one).

marbles:

This is assuming that teddygraham540 is a California resident.

most of the people in here are worriers just like yourself. most that reply to threads want to make you feel like you have no chance because that's how they feel themselves. my advice to you is DONT WORRY. your math score is high enough but your verbal is kinda low. my advice to you would be to really put emphasis on your ECs which are pretty good. if you are applying next year, apply to cornell ED. if not you still may have a chance. more and more colleges are emphasising ECs and letters of recommendation. so if you ECs impress them and your letters of recommendation are good you've got a shot. i, like you, want to go to cornell. it's a great school! i hope you get in. try to find as many "hooks" as possible. in other words, do things before you apply that'll really impress them. cornell's HUGE on ED though so if you apply ED you have a good chance. but worrying wont get you in. this is what i suggest you do:
1) sit down and take out post it notes and on each write down something you CAN do that'll impress cornell
2) make out a schedule for yourself (it'll give you the organization you'll need to be as impressive as possible as well as take your stress load off)
3) call the admissions office at cornell and ask to talk with an admissions officer. explain your situation and ask what to do next.
4) if you're applying next year, find alot of stuff to do this summer that'll hook them.
5) finally, if you're applying next year APPLY ED!!! if you do this your chances are MUCH MUCH MUCH higher. and i think if you emphasise ECs, have good recs, and apply ED your verbal score will be forgotten.

even if you are applying now you have a good shot if you just follow those first few things. i would definitely call/write to the admissions office though and see what you should do to give you an advantage.
i wish you the best of luck! let me know how it turns out.
