Everything Oberlin and down is a match; above is a reach. I think everyone so far agrees on this. Cornell is the closest to a high match-low reach if they can get past your low SAT’s.

Your unweighted GPA is excellent as is your SAT I. The SAT II’s shouldn’t be a huge problem and your EC’s are pretty good. You have a great shot at all of them although Cornell, Chicago, and Dartmouth may be difficult because they’re very competitive.

U Chicago: High match (write stellar essays and this status will be confirmed)
Cornell: Reach
Dartmouth: Reach
Amherst: Reach
Wesleyan: Reach
Oberlin: Match
Bryn Mawr: Match (maybe low match if score choice is in effect)
William and Mary: Match
VA Tech: Safety
Drexel: Safety
Hofstra: Safety

I don’t know about all of your choices, sorry, but here’s my opinion:
U of Chicago - Low Reach
Cornell - Reach
Dartmouth - Reach
William and Mary - Match

You have an awesome GPA, and your SAT score is stellar! I’m not even saying ‘reach’ to a couple of those schools because of your SAT IIs - you can always do selective scoring to all but Cornell, like you said. You just don’t have the greatest ECs, tbh. Those reach schools will get a lot of applicants like you with really good ECs. You’ve got good hooks, though. I think you have solid chances. good luck!

Thanks! and I knew my ECs were weak, I just wish I had a greater incentive to do them soph and junior years… It bothers me because I live somewhere where there are so many opportunities for internships and stuff and it’s the only part of my app that I can’t change now :(

U Chicago - Mid-Reach
Cornell - Mid-Reach
Dartmouth - Low Reach
Amherst - Low Reach
Wesleyan - Low Reach
Oberlin - Match
Bryn Mawr - Match
William and Mary - Match
Hoftra - Low Match
VA Tech - Safety
Drexel - Safety

You’re in the middle. Your rank, GPA, and SAT are all good and I wouldn’t say the sat IIs are going to kill you but the lack of focused and distinguished ECS might detract from your application for the more selective schools. It could go either way though

Thanks! Besides the top schools, my more realistic favorite schools are Oberlin and Bryn Mawr (and maybe W&M). How do I look for those 3? Do they value SATs or ECs and Essays like some of the top schools?

I can live with the 2250, but I was referring to the 610 and 630 that I now have to send to Cornell…

Just one question, do colleges know whether you’ve used score choice? and do subject tests really count as much for score choice as sending all SAT 1 scores?

I don’t think schools would disqualify you just based on two bad subject tests and if they did, would you really wanna go there? As far as I can see you are a perfect candidate for the best schools around (black, high sats, high gpa). That being said any school not in the Ivy League is a match pretty much besides MIT and schools at the tip top. Even Ivy League schools would be high matches / low reaches

Like the post above me says you have a great resume with a lot going for you! Since those schools are tough and they do turn highly qualified applicants way you can just apply and see! You are bound to get into one of those! Good luck

Drexel: Safety
Hofstra: Saftey
V Tech: Safety
Oberlin: Low Match
Weseleyan: Match
Bryn Mawr: Match
Amherst: Match
Dartmouth: Mid Reach
Cornell: Mid-High Match
U Chicago: Reach
