Looks good to me. Don’t bother retaking the SAT, since Cornell only looks at Math and CR and a 1540 is excellent.

You’re taking a rigorous schedule within the scope of your school, so that definitely shows the admissions people that you are willing to go out and make use of the resources available to you.

Write great essays, and show them why you’d be a great fit and what you can do for Cornell, which shouldn’t be hard for you, looking at your extracurricular involvement in music/acting.

Good luck, and I hope to see you here next year!

WongTongTong, how do you know they don’t look at the writing section?? They never mentioned that when talking about reviewing SAT scores at the information session I attended.

It’s on their website. This is the link I could find by just googling:

[Cornell Engineering: Freshman FAQs](http://www.engineering.cornell.edu/admissions/undergraduate/apply/freshman/faqs.cfm#CP_JUMP_15504)

From website:

sara

The engineering school certainly does not look at the writing.

(You beat me to it WTT!!!)

The way it’s worded suggests that Cornell as a university doesn’t, but since it’s only on the Engineering site, it’s a bit ambiguousl

However, Cornell’s Common Data Set specifically says it doesn’t consider the essay component of either the SAT or ACT (this is a University-wide filing) (Question C-8C), though confusingly, the ACT writing component is required (Question C-8B). Most tellingly, when listing the 25th-75th percentile range – the boxes for SAT Writing and SAT Essay are marked “N/A”.

That’s the best I could find.

I am only interested in A&S. But thanks anyway.

What do you look to major in?
