My GPA is that bad bc I screwed around Freshman/Sophmore year + I always took the hardest classes available to me. I had a 4.0 my second semester as a Junior - so there is an upward progression.

It’s a definite reach, so your essays and recommendations better be beautiful! The upward progression looks good, but 3.35 is really low for an ivy league university…you really need some safeties. Looks like it’d be a good fit, if you make it, though.

You have excellent EC’s, showing you are a well rounded individual. Your SAT is also respectable. Your grades are on the upswing. You got a decent shot.

Of course it is “Cornell”… being the “easiest” IVY to get into, it’s still very difficult. Having many friends at cornell athletes/regular students, you find out that kids that are reaching a lot to get in, mainly have an upward progression throughout their high school career. I do believe you have a chance, I would probably say 25%, but I would also say don’t be shocked if you get in. I believe if you did write great essays and have some more ECs that aren’t mentioned, your chances have raised, significantly. Good luck!
