@math64-I figured being an Eagle Scout, Member of MENSA, and being a Special Olympics Coordinator when still stand out.
@Smithg1227-I would rather go to Cornell then NW because it’s cheaper. Plus I like NY more than Chicago.
@DreamAway-I hope so! I have a great English professor who is helping me with them and who will write an excellent recommendation letter!

Apply to Cornell Early Decision. The ILR school is easier to get into than Arts and Sciences. Bon chance!

The problem is Cornell wouldn’t be my 100% first choice. UT-Austin is. It’s better for me. But again if the money is right, I’ll take Cornell. I could graduate with a Master’s in 3 years at UT vs. 6 at Cornell.
I would rather apply RD and see what package I can get before I commit like with ED.

^ DallasScholar that’s probably a better idea. In all honesty, you’re competitive for Cornell RD anyway. If it’s not your first choice, don’t risk being forced into going there.

Wow, ran the Cornell Price Calculator again with estimations and found after working on campus, Cornell is actually cheaper than UT-Austin to begin with.

Now my real question is-3 years at UT-Austin at 17k a year, or Cornell for 6 years at 15.5k a year.
43k extra for a Cornell education?

Also, my SATs were above Cornell’s 50% but not sure if sending.
Math790 CR670

i think you actually have a pretty decent chance of getting into Cornell! :3

I’d send those scores ( depending on the Writing section)

Writing is of course why I wouldn’t send. Pretty shabby 610. Previous SAT was a 600. ACT Writing was a 27 too.

I hope my essays can negate the offset from these low scores. The scores don’t really showcase my true writing ability.

Eh. Thats not awful. But yeah, definitely try to write a killer essay to show that you can write.
