In my college application im talking about the ability of me as international student and Third Culture Kid to be able to integrate into various societies. I studied in non-religious schools, and now i'm in a large private international christian school, but I'm very confortable even though im Hindu.

also, a pretty inane question, do my parents qualifications really count? I hope it does because my dad is VP of Samsung, and a PhD, my mom's a university professor and a PhD as well.

Would being international be really a benefit?

How are my scores and what are my chances at Cornell?

look guys...115 views and counting...and not a single posting!!! Come on!!! I need the advice!

Typical stats of an Ivy league applicant I guess. Try raising the SAT a hundred or so, maybe if you don't make it this year, reapply as a transfer in two years.

yup, nice stats. you have some good ec's, very similar to mine!... yes i echo wht joev says bout the SAT1 scores, try to move that up to about 1420... that will boost ur chances by a lot.
which department u applying to btw?
right now ur chances are something like 30%...

engineering....mid 50 SAT is 1400 - 1520...thats the killing bit fo rme. Well the good thing for me is that iv been in 3 schools for my 3 yrs in high school, and my GPA and grades have changed little. So grade inflation as many unis say, is reduced a lot because each school grades differently and I'v been thru 3 systems. So yeah...maybe i have a chance there.

The prob for me is that I have to take SAT IIs now. im takin Writing and IIC in Dec and Physics in Jan. So no time for SAT I repetition. So maybe u have to evaluate me on my stats as of now...

U live in Daejeon? Do you support Daejeon Citizens? They are doing pretty bad this 2nd half of the league (Didn't make the Playoffs)

Anyways, I think you have a reasonable chance. Did you apply early?

Im indian so im not really into Korean local leagues, but i support my school varsity team...TCIS dragons.

Im applyin RD
