I want to apply for Cuny-Baruch, Suny-Binghamton, Pace, Fordham and Cuny-Queens. What are my chances of getting into those colleges, please tell me.

GPA 90+
SAT - R: 460 M:780 W:430

Work experience
I've worked for two monthes in a computer store.

Volunteer experience
I've been a tutor for 2 years.

Clubs:
chess club, mathletes,

I have won some contests for accounting.

Well, first of all, I hope you're going into some kind of math major, that seems to be your calling. Secondly, you might have a chance at some of those schools, but your writing and reading SAT scores may hold you back. If you could raise it to 1800-1900, you would greatly improve your chances everywhere.

whoa! i stopped at ur sat score...

By the way, I have been in U.S. for only two and half years, also I got my toefl score, it is 100 out of 120.

hes applying to an instate school, not to say cuny baruch is not competetive, im just saying ive seen lower stats accepted there.

pace, binghamton and fordham are probably reaches though.

I just want to know if I have a big chance to get into Cuny Baruch or not. Cuny Baruch is actually my first choice (unless I can get into NYU which will not happen at all)

May anyone please help me? Help ~~~~~~~~~

i'd say you have an over 50% chance, just because of your average. If not, you'll def. get into Cuny Queens, and then you can transfer after a year.

just bring up the SAT scores.
Baruch CUNY is hard to get into though, i used to think it was really easy, but it's not. I think it has the same or less acceptance rate than NYU.
but anyway,
really bring up the scores. but there is a large population of immigrant koreans at Baruch so maybe the English related sections are weighed differently than other schools

Eh baruch's acceptance rates are so low because of the massive amount of students who apply that has terrible grades. Baruch should be a def. as long as you place that as your first priority in choices then queens. Queens probably will still accept you as well

How can i let them know that i put Baruch as my first priority, i really want to get into Baruch, so please help me!

don't know the schools except for binghamton. honestly, at binghamton there isn't a chance in the world. My bro got rejected from there with a 94 average and 2170 SATs.

that is strange, my friend who is one year older than me got into binghamton with 90 average and 1860 SATs. it is so hard to find out if someone can get into one college or not in USA, why don't they just look at grades~~~

My friend told me that the class of 2009 has the largest amount of students compare to years before and after, so it is going to be harder for us to get into colleges. I am really worries if I can get into the college I like or not.

You're in at all of those colleges- don't listen to these guys, they have no clue what they're talking about. I know enough people who attend those schools to tell you that your stats are on par, if not slightly better, than the typical CUNY student.

Just to give you an idea of how selective queens and baruch college are...

my friend was accepted into both with a 2.5 UW GPA, 1700's SAT, and nearly zero extracurricular.

Oh, and he's Asian.

yea my friend was accepted to baruch with like 1400/2400 and like 85 average with little else of anything, but I can't believe he got in

Only CUNY Baruch MAYBE. All the rest def not. Try SUNY Farmingdale =)

huh, cuny baruch is one of the better cunys with hunter

Hi everyone, sorry to post this now but i just received my sat scores. I got the same, 1070(CR-470 M-600), I have a 91.68 GPA(about 3.7). I’m a senior I’ve taken AP calculus ab, AP US History, 3 college now classes, and currently AP statistics. I have about 40 hours of community service and I am desperate to get into Baruch because I hear its very popular for its business programs. Please, how are my chances looking? I also am; submitting 2 letters of recommendation(one from the head of the math dept. at my school) and 1 college essay

Hey there, I just received a holiday card from Baruch, my friend told me they sent that to everyone who applies, while my other friend says that they only send that out to people who they plan to admit, can someone please tell me which one is true.
