<p>I am a rising senior, with a 4.0 GPA (5.0 weighted), and I have already taken six AP courses. I am taking six senior year, which totals twelve for my high school career. </p>
<p>I am currently fifth in my class of about three hundred people.</p>
<p>SAT composite is 1950:
Math: 560
Reading: 720
Writing: 670</p>
<p>ACT is 29:
Math: 26
Reading: 720
Writing: 670</p>
<p>I plan to retake the SAT and (maybe) the ACT to see if I can up my scores any. I also plan to take two SAT subject tests that the school recommends. </p>
<p>I've taken six AP tests and passed five, (5 on US, 4 on Psych, 4 on English). I got the AP Scholar with Distinction award.</p>
<p>I have ran track for three years, cross country for three; I am the President of my school's Beta Club; member of the Interact Club, Government and Students, Honors Society, Prom Committee, Student Council, and PALS (mentoring freshmen). </p>
<p>I do a good amount of volunteer work (not anything to brag about), from helping out at my town's museum to the local nursing home to feeding the elderly through Meals on Wheels.</p>
<p>I wrote, directed, and produced a feature film about the Civil War with one of my best friends, and I will be entering it in festivals this fall. I have a website, a Facebook page, a Twitter, and so on for my "production company," and I'm working on a second film at the moment. </p>
<p>I have most definitely shown interest in the school, as it is my top choice. I will have visited three times by October (including Discover Davidson), as I am trying to see whether I fit in - so far, I have gathered that it is a perfect fit. </p>
<p>My essays will be my strong point, along with my recommendations. </p>
<p>I am a male, and neither of my parents attended college (I am the first in my family).</p>
<p>I would love to hear what a current Davidson student has to say. I am honestly in love with the school, and would be honored to attend. I would like to know if (applying ED) you think I would be accepted, and if I could handle the academic workload. </p>
