You also need to have a snazzy project. It can be an essay, research, a project, whatever--something that highlights your talent and creativity. Do you know what that will be yet?

I'm not entirely sure what I want to do for my project yet. I'm into playing guitar and writing music, so I'm thinking about doing something with that. I was diagnosed with a pretty rare heart condition in August, which is something that's been on my mind a lot lately, so I'm also considering doing some kind of research with that since it's something that has very recently and very drastically affected my life and it's something I'm really interested in learning more about. Thanks for the positive feedback everyone... it seems like everything I read these days about the college application process is really negative, it's nice to hear some positive thinking for a change.

I'm also thinking about what I can do for the project. I plan on submitting a CD of me playing the piano. But I don't know how much and what exactly to write about. Can anyone who has gotten the DHS tell us what they did and how much they wrote?

What's the box about? It's so small? I found the instructions completely confusing. I guess I'll incorporate the box into something else... Any suggestions?
