3.5/4.1 GPA, national merit semifinalist, hoping for a 34 on my ACT, 1700 hours of community service, top 5 percent in community service in the state, DECA national qualifier, DECA vice president of local chapter, FBLA national qualifier, FBLA vice president, member f Kansas city youth symphony, president of school orchestra, all state and all district orchestra. 1s at state solo an ensemble festival, variety tennis, hopefully captain of tennis team. Also NHS member, but honestly everyone Gets into NHS. Owner of a startup business, what are my chances at Drexel? Also what can I do to improve my chances of getting in? I'm looking to major in either INdustrial engineering, or finance/accounting.

Bump bump bump

I think you have a good shot at an acceptance, especially with that ACT score. Drexel will like the community service.

What percentage of a shot do you think I have? Also what kind of scholarships would I get?

National Merit Finalists get free tuition at Drexel (I think you still have to pay the fees, which are about $2,300 a year):

That’s really nice! How are there engineering and business schools ranked?

Also does Drexel have any joint programs with penn?

Not from what I know; Drexel and UPenn are right next to each other, but I don’t think they co-ordinate above allowing summer classes to be taken at each school.

Ah okay. Regardless, Drexel is an excellent university. Do you feel so
Stones that it’s shadowed by penn? Like will an employer take a penn graduate over a Drexel grad?

Eh, it’s not that there’s an obvious overshadowing between the two, save perhaps for business (then again, anyone with a #1 program will overshadow anyone else next to it). In fact, I’ve heard of a few stories where UPenn engineers have transferred to Drexel(!) simply because they want the experience, which Drexel (co-op) provides much better than UPenn (though UPenn isn’t bad itself for getting internships and the like).

But do Drexel grads still get as many internships at wall street as penn grads

I don’t think there’s exact data as to how many from each school goes to specifically Wall Street, though I’d assume UPenn would have more (seeing due to its reputation).

That’s very true.

More chances please?

Bump bump bump

Why do you need more chances? None of us are on the admissions committee…it’s basically free to apply so throw an application at Drexel and see what happens.

I’m just curious
