Recs from the two best teachers in the school who I have had for at least two years, and who I know will give me excellent reviews.

My essay is extremely well written (according to my LA teachers), but I now think it is too impersonal. It tells a great story, steps back and makes conclusions, has a very interesting internal metaphor, but it could probably have been more about me.

I have strong academics, but I just don't think I have that "stand-out" quality that the above colleges are looking for.

Yeah, you don't really have that standout quality, but you're in the range for those schools, so I guess you have about an average chance. Then again, I didn't stand out either (albeit with higher test scores, more AP tests, better GPA but lower class rank and much, much worse ECs) and I got into Cornell (though it was CAS, not engineering), so you probably have about as much chance as I did.

And Dartmouth for engineering? Hmm, I didn't even known Dartmouth had engineering. meh.

ROFL...a caucasian female in boy scouts...

wow haha that's embarassing . . . yeah I am a guy, for some reason while i was typing that first bit I was thinking about how a lot of posters on the board are asian females . . . and somehow I managed to type that . . .

welp . . . haha . . . no I'm not gay or gender confused (not trying to offend anyone here) . . . just tired and stressed . . . and I already gave the post an edit to add in work experience and the forum doesn't seem to keen on giving me the chance to edit it again.

is that your whole list? are you already in a college?

lol i think u wanna hear the answer "yes" from people in here since female in engineering is rare, that would make u IN those school if ur a female. For caucasian male in engineering hmm not guarantee
