Chances at Duke?

<p>Hey CC'ers! I just wanted to know what my chances are like for Duke. I know they might be weak, but here are my stats:</p>

<p>In-state
Large public high school
GPA: 3.8
Rank: top 15 of 600+
ACT: 31 (34 M, 28 R, 31 W, 31 S, 9 Essay)
SAT Subject Tests: 730 Physics, taking Math 2 in October
AP: 5 BC (5 AB Subscore), 5 Human Geo, 4 APES, 4 Physics B
Senior Courseload: IB Theory of Knowledge, IB Chemistry HL, IB Math HL 3, AP Physics C, IB English 4, IB Spanish 5, IB Geography, IB 20th Century History
Summers: I attended the North Carolina Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics and also attended Governor's School of North Carolina for Social Science. I also work as a tutor at a Kumon Math and Reading Learning Center. Selected for AAJA J-Camp but did not attend.
EC's: Debate (Captain, 4 yrs), HOSA (Officer, 4 yrs), Public Health Society (Founder, 2 yrs), Echo Foundation (Ambassador, 4 yrs), Physics Club (2 yrs), IB Council (4 yrs)
Honors: Debate National Qualifier, HOSA National Qualifier, AP Scholar with Distinction, various debate awards</p>

<p>I, too, am a National Debater, and I can tell you that debate looks awesome on college apps. That said, your biggest concern might end up being your ACT score. I’d say that, as of now, you look to be a reach for Duke. If you can break 32 on the ACT, then I’d say you’re about a Low Reach, and if you can muster a 34 or higher, then it becomes a high match.</p>

<p>^I agree. Once you get a slightly higher ACT score, you’ll be an extremely competitive applicant :)</p>
