<p>I was totally against Ivy Leagues before I set foot on Cornell, then I absolutely fell in love with it. None of the pretentious attitude I got at Harvard and Princeton. </p>

<p>just to clarify i have a parent who is military SO i had to transfer from a DODDS school overseas to FCPS and the requirements are totally different so i had to take a lot of (in my mind) pointless classes sophomore year to fuilfill credits ex: freshman year i took a lot of programming & robotics classes , however my new school requires 3 years of a FL or 2 & 2 , i already had 2 of spanish from my middle school (where i also took algebra I & geometry) i switched to german because i didnt think it was a good idea to have a gap year and then go into spanish III</p>
<p>ANYWAY here's my EC's:
4 years of soccer, 9th grade i played varsity as a starter and we went on to place second in our annual international championship & 1st in our region
when i transferred to the states i joined the local rec league & have been team captain ever since. chosen & played for the league all star team each season , both teams have made it to the finals & semi-finals each year since i've joined</p>
<p>i volunteer with local charities like the Sasha Bruce program & Alternative House
i was also a volunteer at this years Homeless Street Soccer national tournament in DC
i do work crew at summer camps with my youth group & always work at my school's seasonal beautification days
i'm now in the process of organizing a drive for our troops in iraq/afghanistan , possibly considering to do a benefit concert as i have some good connections w/some good bands</p>
<p>i'll be the junior editor of my school YB this year & the editor in chief of my HS newspaper which is nationally recognized & consistently wins awards at all levels of competition</p>

<p>i've lived in ten places in 17 years, three continents. i really consider myself international, i'm able to adapt to whatever situation is thrown at me.</p>
<p>i'll write a hell of an admissions essay, you can count on that. it's that damn SAT score that i have to raise.</p>
