Essays: I know everyone says their a great essayist on CC but I consider myself good as well. I'm willing to show you my essay if you want.

Now for the advice part. If I apply ED II and get accepted I'll never know if I could have ever gotten in anywhere else like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Duke, UNC, Georgetown, Notre Dame, and UPENN. At the same time I would happy with going to Emory.

bump chances please

I think you have great chances for EDII. Your grades are great (although I'm slightly confused about your gpa) since you've maintained straight A's for a long time and your courseload hasn't been easy. Your test scores are average, and your ec's are definitely good (just out of curiosity- will you play soccer at Emory?). If your essays are indeed great, you should have very good chances for EDII.

Now for the advice part. Is Emory your #1 choice? Is the one school you imagine yourself being completely happy at? It sounds to me like you're still a little confused as to where you want to go. Yuo could probably get in to at least one of the other schools you mentioned, but in the end it all comes down to preference. I applied EDI because Emory seemed like a great fit for me and I really liked the school. If you're sure you really want to go to Emory, apply EDII. Otherwise, apply RD so you can decide later.

Good Luck!

I would say just apply to Emory and other places as a RD applicant
you have solid chance for getting in to Emory for RD

Yeah I plan on trying out for the Emory soccer team...does emory really weigh your ACT score that much as compared to other characterstics

Yeah, how can you have a 4.54 out of 4.2 GPA?

Also, I'd probably apply RD because you seem a bit unsure and you never want to be that if you apply ED somewhere.

4.54 is weighted. Im not sure my UW would be.

bump, so do you think i have a good chance at RD?

I think you have good chances RD and you might end up with more options if you get in to some of those other schools.

I say 80 percent in ED; 70 percent RD.
