All know me on a personal level. </p>

<p>My strengths are in math and I plan to show that as much as posible. In my essay for the common app, I am going to write about Baseball. Basically, I was the team leader in average freshman year in baseball and then the following year I didn't practice for tryouts because I thought I was a sure make. I ended up doing poorly and got cut. The following year I came out and made varsity as a junior and had the highest scores in the tryouts. So I'll talk about how it was an eye opening experience and that I can't take anything for granted etc. Is this a good topic?
The UPenn Essay I'm not really worried about.</p>

<p>Legacy to Yale and Princeton (Not 1st Gen). I love UPenn, but I think my chances would be higher at those schools compared to UPenn due to this fact.</p>

<p>I would say average chance, your definitely better off than some people, but again essays will probably be a deciding factor. The math stuff is good I guess, so yeah stress that. At the end of the day probably a slightly above the norm chance, so if the average acceptance “chance” is 10%, then you may be up to 13-14%.</p>

<p>EDIT: Oh, I see your hispanic, well then you are probably much better off, no offense or anything but that is the world of college admissions.</p>

<p>I’m getting the 3rd from a Math because some colleges allow to send more than 2, so I got it for those future colleges if I get denied. I’ll been told that being hispanic increases my chances to these school significantly, does anyone know how I’d compare to a white person with the same grades/scores/EC’s? Is it really that big of a difference?</p>

<p>I think you definitely have a solid chance. Being Hispanic certainly helps over being white or asian, not as much as being black. It still definitely helps though</p>
