Chances at Fordham

Hey guys, I've been browsing the forum for quite some time, but finally decided to register. I am very aware there is another forum dedicated to chancing, but I feel that I would receive a more earnest response in the Fordham section. I will post this also in the Chances forum.

So, if you wouldn't mind, I would like to know how my chances of acceptance are looking. I am currently a Junior in HS.

I'm sure some other things will come up as I finish out Junior year and move into senior year.

I intend on applying ED, while getting goods recs and writing one hell of an essay.

How am I looking?

GPA is kind of low, why not apply RD, that gives you one more semester of grades they can look at. Otherwise everything else looks great, I think.

I was thinking of applying ED to improve my chances, as our guidance counselors have sort of led onto. Since your transcript consists of 9-11, I would imagine my 1st semester of 12 would be less important, but it’s something to consider for sure. As for my GPA, I’m well aware  It’s rather demoralizing that it could have been a solid 3-4 points higher on a 100 scale if when I did poorly in a class, I didn’t do atrocious. IE: Religion Freshman year, Math sophomore year, Chem this year. Six classes of a 90+ last quarter, and ended up with an 89.78 average. Sigh.

Fordham has EA not ED. Also, the 1st semester of senior year could help you out a lot if you show an upward trend in GPA.

By ED, I meant EA, just didn’t come out that way.

Do you all think there is anything else I should consider to increase my chances?
