Applied to fall...Hispanic at a Florida school (if it makes a difference lol)

3.25 unweighted gpa
3.71 weighted on facts...I don't know what my FSU gpa is though.

1300/1990 SAT
Not many ECs unfortunately...how much will this hurt me at these schools?
Just Key Club in 10th and 12 grades, and Social Studies Honor Society this year.

I wrote what is in my opinion a pretty good essay..

I have a strong upward trend from ninth grade (2.5 unweighted at the end of ninth grade)

AP exams:
AP Human - 2
AP Enviro - 4
AP American - 5

Senior Year schedule:
AP Macro
AP English
AP Euro
AP Psych
Honors Calc

Your grades and EC's point to a no at UF/FSU but you stand a consideration based on your scores for a summer or spring start. A strong first semester for senior grades with most/all A's will help.

UCF is a yes for summer, probable yes for fall.

Looking over the scattergrams for acceptance from my school (private, small): SAT cutoffs seem to be much more reliable than GPA for UCF and FSU (NOT for UF, however.) Going by the 1600 scale (which is much more reliable this year assuming your writing is comparable- b/c many of us ignored writing) we haven't had any rejections with an SAT around 1300 for both FSU and UCF. I got in (considering FSU my dream and a safety) with an FSU GPA and SAT similar to yours. Now that competition is tougher I'd call Fall admission a match but still a yes. ECs don't really count for much (perhaps just to tip one way or another) at these flagships, it's a numbers game. UF is heavily GPA (for instance, there are some acceptances with SATs around yours but the reverse situation- similar GPA- is a Rarity)

Your SAT scores are near the 75th percentile for FSU. Also remember that FSU superscores the SAT. Have you taken the SAT more than once? Good luck
