Chances at G-town, Harvard, Yale, Stanford

<p>I am a transfer student, looking at these colleges. What are my chances?</p>

Possible Majors: History/Philosophy/Poli Sci</p>

SAT: between 1200-1300 (I think, waiting to hear back, never took during h.s.)</p>

GPA: 3.8 (high ranking)
75 units (60+ academic)

High school GPA (many Fs and Ds) was horrendous but have since over past 5 years have made sharp and constant incline</p>

Letter of Rec from Senator who is an alumnus of one of the schools</p>

<p>Your GPA/SATs are still too low from a CC.
I suppose your recs are good, but GPA is more important.
Most people who are applying from CC to those schools have 4.0 or near a 4.0.</p>

<p>i agree with alangreenspan. you are still in the range for transfer to those schools, but youre on the low side of the range with ur SAT scores and GPA, though ur EC's look pretty good. georgetown id give u a good shot if ur applying to the college and not SFS though. but again, as u are in the range for all the schools, go for it.</p>

<p>yeah, i do have backups...but i am also certain to get in so i didn't list them.</p>
