I'm hoping to go to Gatech for aerospace engineering. It's basically the only school I want to go to because its in state, thus, much cheaper. Any comments are appreciated.

very very hard to get in GAtech with those scores, it's a reach. You can always go to a state school and transfer. Ur GPA and scores are too low for GAtech Engineering.

I wouldn't call it "very very hard". I don't think your chances are too bad. GT tends to be significantly more lenient to in-state students.

ive heard that theyre lenient about instate students from several people..i even have friends who go there. are my scores/gpa THAT bad to get rejected even though im in state or do i still have a pretty good chance?

I think your stats look good. But it's been 6 yrs since I looked at undergrad admission, so I might be out of date.

cool...anyone else?

You can get in with those scores. I'd try to get them over 600 in every field, though. Math score is in the middle 50%. Still, 700+ looks nice to the AdComs. I have friends here who got it with lower than that, so don't worry--you can still make it in here.

what about an out of state 3.5 GPA (10 AP's), 2150 SAT (770M, 690V, 690W)?

71/960 rank, decent ECs, good essay

Tickitata, with 770M, 690V and in 10% Rank, You are in 100%.

you couldve made your own thread.
l2forum

sorry, i just didn't feel like cluttering the engineering or georgia tech boards with another chances thread. carry on.

thanks windley :)
