how much volunteering hours do you have? whats your course load like?

i think you need to answer those questions before anyone chances you
after all, your scores are (hate to say it) really weak -- we need to see if your community service/course load can make up for it

either way, i hope you just didnt bother listing your safeties, because anyone who applies to those schools needs one or two

no i did not post them, and my hours are over 400 easily

if you're from MD, G-town is gonna be very, very tough.

what do you think my weaknesses are and where do you think i stand? doesn't being an eagle scout help, and i had great recs. essays, and a good interview

The SAT's a weakness, JHU and G-town are pretty tough schools. Of course I've seen JHU playing definite affirmative action, but G-town seems pretty fair in its acceptance. I think you have a good shot, good ECs.

Same. The SATs are the only thing that look notsogreat on the app.
Otherwise, great GPA and ECs - g'luck!

so do you think that my ec's, volunteer work, good essays, interview, recs, and gpa/ rank will offset my notsogreat sats?

Errr. Did you retake them...?
Or are those your highest?

those are my highest =/

im horrible at sats, obviously

May I ask what county in MD? I can tell from the info that you're not MOCO, which is good, because you need a 4.0, 2400 and a cure for cancer to get into Georgetown from MoCo.

i am actually from baltimore county

Ah, that's a bit of a help. The problem is, Georgetown gets so many apps from MD schools that in order to get in, you have to be super competitive. Being from Maryland puts you at a pretty heavy disadvantage when it comes to Georgetown.

Well. You know what? Standardized tests don't really measure anything (although I hope they weigh a lot because my SATs were great but my GPA is really bad) BUT
Clearly you're a qualified applicant. I'll say you're in the running for all the schools.
And I heard Eagle Scouts get brownie points. So gluck!
