chances at Georgetown University

<p>Hi Guys! This is my first time on here and I'm applying to School of Foreign Service. I hear great things so here goes.</p>

<p>Grades -
5 total AP classes
5 total honors classes
unweighted - 3.88
weighted - 4.22
<strong>i attend a really rigorous college prep private HS</strong>
Tests -
ACT - 31
Subject tests - 690,740, 690
didnt take the regular SAT</p>

<p>Extra Curricular -
4 year member of debate team - 2 year captain
all american in debate, national finalist in my event, state tournament runner up, champion of duke university tournament etc...
3 year varsity golf member - 1 year captain</p>

<p>captain of my Model UN team</p>

<p>intern for 2 different political campaigns - one winner one loser - one democrat one republican
intern at biology lab</p>

<p>Founder of the FBLA at my school and current VP</p>

<p>Over 100 hours of service and volunteering over 4 years</p>

4 year on honor roll
cum laude society</p>

<p>side note** - im pretty good at interviews and essays but we wont know those until i do them</p>

<p>Your stats will be in the lower half of the applicant pool for SFS. Do not be confused with their relatively high acceptance rate ( even higher than MSB). Unless you improve your SAT2 and ACT scores or if you have any hook, it will be a high reach for you.</p>

<p>You will also need excellent essays and recommendation letters.</p>

<p>Your ECs are perfect for Georgetown but your ACT and SAT II scores are relatively low. If you have good essays and interviews I think it’s a mid reach.</p>
