<p>What are my chances at Georgetown? I'm thinking that my GPA is probably my weakness, my test scores are good, and my extracurriculars are average. My misc could be a tipping point.</p>

<p>I'm a Hispanic male attending a Jesuit school.</p>

<p>Tests: SAT: 1470 Verbal: 800 Math: 670
ACT:32
SAT II US History: 780 Math IC: 650. Taking SAT II Writing November.
AP US History :5</p>

<p>GPA: Core Weighted: 3.97 All Weighted. 3.93 Core Unweighted 3.62</p>

<p>Schedule: (Most rigorous possible, with the exception of English Regular 10th grade instead of Honors)</p>

Assistant Editor, Assistant Editor-in-Chief Yearbook</p>

<p>Volunteer Activities:
2 summers of Jr. Internship in Spinal Cord Injury and Nursing Home. Approx 200 hours in total.</p>

<p>Misc:
Studies abroad one month each in Costa Rica and Spain and earned college credit.</p>

<p>Double legacy, mother very active in local alumni club(she does interviews) and also on nat'l law alumni board.</p>

<p>I'm also applying to FSU, UF, Tulane, Chicago, Washington U in St. Louis, and maybe one other.</p>

<p>You are in I'd say 90%, especially with the double legacy. Also, upgrade the rest of you're list, you need more reaches. Chicago and WUSTL are matches for you, and you could very likely get into Princeton, Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, Penn, etc. You might still prefer Gtown in the end, but having options like this never hurts.</p>

<p>Your GPA is kind of low, but you have great Sats, good Ec's, legacy, and you are a minority. </p>

<p>No, I'm 90% sure I'm applying for Georgetown College. I haven't taken a modern language in high school, so SFS is out, unless they count my Spanish classes in Costa Rica and Spain.</p>

<p>Jesuit High School in Tampa. Distant Cousin to Belen Jesuit in Miami. Not on speaking terms with them, though ;)</p>

<p>Check w/Georgetown re SFS. I have heard conflicting interpretations of that modern foreign language requirement. I think you can apply to SFS as long as you realize you are going to take a modern foreign language in college.</p>
