Match. Your GPA and SATs a just little low for Georgetown, but the fact that you're a legacy, Hispanic, fluent (or nearly so, I assume) in Italian and have good leadership ECs will all be very helpful. Figure you have a 50% chance.

Georgetown is probably still a slight reach to reach for you since the average GPA for Georgetown is around a 3.8 UW, and you are only 3.4 UW. Your SAT scores are pretty much in their range though, and the legacy should help a little, plus the biggest thing you've got going for you is your increasing GPA trend.

Write a good essay, get great teacher recommendations and focus on your improvement and great desire to go there and see what happens.

Yea, I read that Georgetown legacy students get admitted at a rate of 40-45%. My mom is an interviewer so hopfully that will satisfy Georgetown in the sense that she has "given back" to the institution.

You know what funny... I read your post and I have very very similar stats to you and I got in last year (i'm hispanic too) 660V/710M, 3.6 UW, did really well on APs, ok extracurriculars.

Ive noticed that Geirgetown is so more subjective than any of the other top schools in admissions (to me thats a good thing) so they care here A LOT about your essay, and the interview counts much more than at other schools.

Definetely urge you to apply early to maximize legacy boost, and you have a pretty good shot.
