Calculate your eligibility index: http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/freshmen/apply/eligibility-index.html
Are you in state? Students from the local high schools get priority.
Out of state
Ei is 3566 with unweighted gpa
SDSU is an impacted campus and received 83k applications for 8k spots this year. It is the 2nd most popular campus in the Cal state system (after Long Beach).
Unfortunately, your UW GPA does not appear to be competitive and your OOS status and EI wont help.
The California State universities do not have funding for OOS students so costs run ~$40k per year for OOS students.
Target EI for SDSU is around 4100. The top 5 CSU’s are out of reach: SLO, SDSU, CSULB, CPP and CSU Fullerton along with SJSU and Chico state.
You might want to target SFSU, Sonoma state, Sac state, East Bay, Stanislaus, San Macros (near SD area).
You do realize that all the CSU’s will cost around $36K/year with no FA?
My CSU gpa is 3.41
Your EI is 3758 with the CSU of 3.41 and still low for SDSU. The lowest EI’s that I have seen in the last 3 years were around the 3900+ range for local SD applicants (which get priority).
Look at the other CSU’s I mentioned in post #4. Remove the top 5 listed and that leaves 18 other CSU’s to consider.
Any idea of a target score on the act would be with that gpa?
You would need around a 31 or higher to get around a 1000 target EI for ACT.
