Chances at getting into UCF?

I am a Junior in high school, applying in September this year.
Weighted GPA: 4.2
Unweighted: 3.8
ACT score: 23
Ranked in the top 10%
Mostly Honors and a few AP courses
I have taken the ACT for a third time and am waiting on my score report and am taking the SAT next month.
Can anyone share there scores and GPAs when you were accepted?

Activities:
Swimming
Spanish Honors Society
JROTC
Job outside of school

Everything is fine except your ACT score. That’s currently going to hurt your application. It’s on the lower end of the distribution for accepted students (almost the extreme lower end).

Work on getting your ACT score up or do well on the SAT and you should be fine.

I think you’ll get in. I had a 3.5, 25 ACT in the IB program.

Thank you guys  Fingers crossed!

Be sure to apply early-as in late august, early september. This can really increase your chances! You’re GPA (Weighted and Unweighted) are both very good! While your ACT score is on the lower end of what they like to see, it’s still a good score, and above the national average. To be safe, I suggest applying to the summer term. It will really increase your chances, and I feel they’ll accept you for that term anyway. Those accepted into fall usually have a 26 or higher on the ACT. Otherwise…I think you stand a very good chance! Best of luck, and hope you can also become a knight like the rest of us:)

WRITEfluidity – thank you so much for your response! I would love to play it safe by applying for summer but my dad doesn’t want me leaving home that soon lol or else i would. If i don’t get accepted for fall though, I will. Hopefully my ACT score increases by then. Also, do you know when the application is available for the 2013 fall term? Because I do play to apply as early as possible. Thank you so much for your helpful response. If you can send me a personal message, I have a few questions on admission and I have seen you a lot throughout this website and you seem to have a lot of good valuable information on admission. :)
