Chances at GTech, Purdue,UIUC and NYU

<p>Here are the stats...I am giving high priority to GTech</p>

<p>Class IX- 85%
Class X- 9.4(around 90%)
Class XI -55% ( I was on bed for around 5 months due to a serious illness....shall i mention it on the app or would it be too tacky? Of course, I can provide the medical certificate)
Class XII- 85%</p>

<p>SAT- Yet to come(expecting above 1950)</p>

<p>Excellent Extra Curriculars</p>

<p>Points to ponder</p>

<li>I have already passed my class XIIth and I am taking a gap year now. Actually I was preparing for the IIT-JEE, but one of my friends inspired me to apply abroad, and being quite convinced I agree to do so. However, the major problem is, I started very late and I just managed to take the 1st December SAT.</li>
</ul>

<li><p>Does taking a gap year makes any difference to my selection chances?</p></li>
<li><p>Now particularly for GTech, I can take one more SAT, that is one the 26th of January. So shall I take the SAT I or SAT II, considering I can raise my SAT I scores to above 2050 or shall I take the SAT II, where I can get around 750-800 in Maths I, Mths II and Physics. Which would add more weight to my app?</p></li>

<p>Lastly, does anyone knows if we can take the February ACT for GTech?</p>

<p>You have a good chance for GATech, Purdue, and UIUC but since GT is your first choice you should know that SAT 2 scores are purely supplementary and are not required.</p>

<p>I would still recommend taking the SAT 2 because your SAT 1s are decent for the schools you’re applying to but for some private schools like Princeton taking at least 2 SAT subject tests is mandatory so you should probably keep that in mind.</p>

<p>Also, since you took CBCSE and not IB or A levels or whatever else the cool kids take nowadays, you should probably give the TOEFL too.</p>

<p>But,last year purdue gave scholarship to about100+ internationals</p>
