Chances at Harvard and other Ivies?

<p>White male from New Jersey, neither of my parents went to college</p>

<p>Class Rank: 3 of 217 at a competitive private school; Our grading system is very different from most the 100 or 4.0 scale so I'll spare you that, but my class rank should give an idea</p>

<p>Scores:
SAT: 2340 single sitting
Subject Tests: Math II-800; Biology M-800; US History-780; Spanish-740
PSAT: 230 so most likely National Merit Semifinalist and/or Finalist
AP's: All 5's on Human Geography, World History, Calc AB, Environmental Science, Spanish Language, English Language, Biology, and US History, so I've had very rigorous course load throughout high school</p>

Theater and Drama- Leading roles in 8 productions during high school</p>

<p>Community Service- Founded my own service organization and started up service education in my school community. I started something called the "Great Buzz-Off" where students payed to shave their heads in support of those with cancer and raised $15,000. I started the September 11th Pledge to Serve in my school, where our student body collectively performed 10,000 hours of community service. I have personally performed 300+ hours of community service while in high school. Those are just my two major accomplishments, of course we've done much more with our work.</p>

<p>Music- Instrumental and Vocal
I play Alto and Baritone Saxophone in Jazz Band and Brass/Wind Ensemble as well as my school's concert band. I've performed as a featured member of the Diocesan Honors Band.</p>

<p>I sing baritone in my school's A Cappella Chorus and am a featured singer in the North Jersey Young Men's Ensemble.</p>

<p>Any other good schools that I'd have a decent chance at but still be fairly good schools that you could suggest? Also good safeties? I'm looking to go pre-med.</p>

<p>i think it’s safe to say you make everyone else look terrible. i think if you have an awesome essay you are sure to get into these schools. i think you’re too good for rutgers, please tell me it is a safety! and think about princeton university! prestigious and beautiful! good luck!</p>

<p>If you’re planning on premed, then take a look at Johns Hopkins Univ. You’ll probably be a great fit for that school. Good luck with your future endeavors!</p>
