Thanks.

You are an excellent candidate for:

1) All four of those schools with the exception of Harvard (Harvard only likes -for the most part - students who are sons or daughters of rich, political figures).

2) Close to a full ride scholarship for any of the schools.

BTW, I'm sorry that you had to grow up in such a nasty environment.

Def., apply to Berkeley and Cornell ( you have a fantastic shot at these schools).

Epoch, I'd love to know what educates your impression of Harvard admissions. Don't get me wrong - I fully embrace the one-way rivalry that I, as a Brown student, have with Harvard, but I don't think bashing like this accomplishes much. Maybe you should take a look at Harvard's financial aid stats?

You're from Cambridge so that automatically gives you a boost. Harvard takes a certain number of kids a year from Cambridge to get a tax cut or something. I take it you go to Ringe? Or maybe Newton Country Day or something like that?

i had to throw political correctness out the door but a intelligent student from a disadvantaged background will have a great shot at some of the more lets say liberal institutions namely berkeley or the ivies, even the university of michigan
