<p>bewner...the same way i am so quick to judge...you are so quick to defend without knowing at all whether your claims of oppresion are even justified...do you honestly believe that a student with vissanik's credentials regardless of ethnicity should be admitted into a top 20 school...i am a urm myself and if one of my friends that was a urm had these numbers and got accepted to a top school i would be shocked...i understand the hardships that go along with being a minority but one should have at least a competitive shot before having one's race taken into consideration</p>

<p>I do believe affirmative action based on race (instead of economic/social wellbeing, which would be fair and understandable) is total crap and borders are reverse-prejudice (it's not even consistent; us Asians are minorities and we have it worse than Caucasians...)</p>
