If a junior, take SATs again, many legacies with 1500 plus were rejected ED this year. Defenitely go ED if this is your first choice for best hope. Good luck.

Good stuff, but everything I see for EC's are school related, that is TOO easy, the clubs are there down the hall....you need to go into the world

i guess you have decent chances (already considering the legacy status). Your SAT I and SAT II scores aren't amazing, and unfortunately the ECs are not unique or strong enough to serve as a hook for you. However, you do have a chance and will most definitely get a second look, unlike a lot of the applicants to Harvard who get rejected in a heartbeat. From there, anything is possible

youre in the running...but i dont see anything that will really pull you through. legacy will help, but will by no means guarantee admissions. you need very good essays and recs. and if you dont get into "havard" (not saying you wont--its just that 90% dont), remember its not the end of the world and that there are other great schools out there. Best of luck~i hope all your dreams come true :)

Good luck. I mean your legacy status may help you a little bit, but we are still talking about Harvard University, the institution known for dropping validictorians, salutatorians, and 1600 SAT takers like it is normal or like it just comes with the territory. Not that other highly selective colleges don't do this, but it is that Harvard University is in a category of its own with Princeton, Yale, and possibly Stanford. You need to make your essay is unique and enjoyable. A lot of times, getting into Harvard is based on luck.

SAT is kinda weak, and from what i've read about ppl in harvard, i think u should do a little more ECs because some of the ECs in your list aren't accountable... my personal opinion, dont take it seriously.

Honestly, I think you have a shot. Although I honestly don't know what your high school offers in terms of AP courses, its grading policies and the such I think you have a fighting chance. I mean look at your stats, even without the legacy card you're pretty competitive as it is. It's for that reason that you're a tossup like the rest of us. Good luck!
