no, no...fight again!! More fun to read. I was at the other Cambridge (in the UK!) so I have no idea about Harvard, but best of luck. Whatever you do, don't put down comments about women and science in your essay...:)

haha, that's great, how bout you and me start a fight. I'll start it," ur a ****ened dumbass." (i don't really mean anything i say, but let's do it anyway. I find it entertaining to see people fight too, with no bad intentions in mind of corse.)

holy shizza your app must be freaking amazing...if i have half the ec's you have when i apply i'll be very very happy =D. and in terms of your chances, dont ask me..i'm clueless but everything u posted was very impressive..thats all i have to say

seth blue....the war is on

You say I have nothing to distinguish me? How about swimming, running, and treading water for four hours a day for four years and being the ONLY person EVER to be awarded BOTH the Academinc All-American and All-American Water Polo Player Award. The reason I may not be recruited is because of my injury...

You also mocked my piano...I will put it on my app to show that I have been able to keep something from my childhood in the midst of my busy schedule.

last, my research...

I conducted my research at City of Hope National Medical Center and the Noris Cancer Center at USC. My work centered on the effects of a certain hormone that can have positive effects when released onto cancerous cells...A POSSIBLE CURE. However, the side effects are debilitating...You obviously HAVE NO IDEA how competitive the competition is. The person I lost to in the National Circle had actually created a minature wormhole in the atmosphere...

Your move

Kenli792, dont you get it?

Seth Blue is just jealous that you are such a high achiever while she (or he) is not.

You are a major inspiration to me. Hope you get in as you deserve to.

(yadda yadda yadda)"

Seriously, chill out. Christ.

Sounds very good, especially given the chance due to your athleticism :)

Seth is obviously just being jealous :p. Anyways, your research sounds really interesting, could you go a bit more in depth? I'm really interested :). And the minature wormhole? Thats amazing, not to sound skeptical or anything, but wouldn't that have made some headlines? Especially if it was done by someone under the age of 18.

kenli, so the war is on hey?
to the other posters, i'm not being jealous.
Point is, you didn't go into detail in your original thread, so i assumed your research was no biggie. And i'm not mocking yer piano, i just happen to have a friend who is almost a virtuoso violin palyer and know someone who won 2nd in the nationals for pianos is all. I just don't think you should rely on your piano.

anyway, if you think your stats stand out already, well i don't see your purpose in this thread. Whatever, yer stats are great, you have a likely chance at harvard, but be ever ready for disappointment too.

If you put up your stuff to have everyone go 'oohhh, you are so great' then you are too insecure for your own good. However, if you do succeed in curing cancer at 12, or whatever, please consider the above comment null and void, and consider me as a beneficiary for your bounteous munificence.

Asian is not a URM

Why is anyone getting mad about this you guys take yourselves too seriously.

What the F? How are you already a Siemens Westinghouse Semifinalist? That alone will get you into most schools.

Don't you just hate it when people make fun of u on the net... Obviously they like the fact they can make fun of a polo player and get away with it...T

ry that at your school guys!

"The person I lost to in the National Circle had actually created a minature wormhole in the atmosphere..."

....no. That never actually happened.

lol yeah I am sure some 17 year old with a high school education made a worm hole (if they actually exist lol) I hope that was a joke. You don't put a smiley after that and you will be called on you BS.

haha yea...to create a wormhole you need to use charged plates to create some weird charge distriubition in between them that actually pulls them together because of the negative density.. fine for small experiments, but a WORMHOLE, those things would need to be DAMN huge..like planetary huge

I'm not talking about the "star wars" one...

There are meteorlogical wormholes that are created under certain air pressures...

That's what she told me.

sure, yea some obscure 17 year old from some obscure place made a scientific breakthrough in cancer research. I'm sorry ken, but are you trying to paly us for fools? Top scientists from Harvard, Yale, and all over the world are looking for cancer cures everyday and if they haven't found anything, do you really expect us to believe that an unknown 17 year old can?

you ummmmmmmm, were talking about cancer..........right?
