Chances at Harvard

Okay so heres my stats and stuff.

First off, my sister is a junior at Harvard so I'd imagine that would help my chances somewhat.

Math SAT: 720
Reading SAT: 680
Writing SAT: 660

I am in the International Baccalaureate Full Diploma Program.

4 Year Weighted GPA: 93.9

Top 10%

Extracurriculars/Awards:
Travel Soccer
Varisty Soccer
Varsity Tennis
Irish Culture Club
Guitar Club
NHS
Honor Roll
Student of the Month twice

Work Experience:
These are 3 jobs during 3 diffferent summers.
Senior Center Work
Custodial Work at a Public School
Clerical Work for Allstate

I also coach a Special Olympics soccer team during the fall soccer season.

Well thats it. If you could tell me my chances of getting into Harvard that would be awesome thanks.

Average… meaning the same as the rest of the no hookers. Average is more apt to mean random though.

Your sports and work experience are slight tips though. Your SAT/rank/GPA neither help nor hurt you.

SATs might be great for other schools…but not necessarily for Harvard. Also, top 10% of class is nothing to brag about for Harvard. Otherwise, your ECs are good (especially leadership position as a coach). I see Harvard as a reach for you, but I’m basing this only on objective scores; other factors (like essays) could really strengthen your application. GOOD LUCK!

as long as you have lots of money, you’ll get in. how do you think bush got into yale?

Those SATs aren’t even in the 25th percentile.

SAT’s don’t necessarily mar an application unless you’ve got something in the 500’s or low 600’s.

He’s got enough of a chance to justify the application fee.

this is true. i second that. good luck, home slice.

omg omg omg ur sooo getting in there goes a spot at harvard

Maybe if your essays are excellent-excellent.

You need good second choices and safeties.

Harvard is possible but it is a reach. Don’t obsess over one school.
