Hi, just looking to see my chances at Harvey Mudd for mechanical engineering. I love engineering, math and science. Unfortunately, I have a 3.81 weighted gpa and 3.41 unwwieghted. Here are my grades for math and science classss:
Sophomore year:
Pre-Calc honors C/A
Chemistry A/A
Junior year:
AP Calc AB A/A
AP Chemistry B/C
Senior year: still in progress
AP Physics
AP Calc BC
I have done well on my tests which I hope make up for my grades
Sat: 1420
Sat math II: 800
AP chemistry: 5
AP calc: 5
ACT: 36
I also took AP 2D and got an A and a B. I am a very good artist, I don’t know if they care about that much considering they are a STEM school. I also play 3 sports in highschool and can play Waterpolo at Mudd. I have good extracurriculars like VP of debate club and volunteer work at my church etc. I am a low income white male, I know Mudd tries to accept a higher percentage of females to balance it out. I also have restored a 1969 ford mustang by myself, I completely rebuilt the engine and transmission. I hope this adds to my passion for engineering which improves my chances. Thanks for the help!
